Hannah Berner started seeing now-husband Des Bishop before she began filming season 5 of Summer House in 2020 — and their romance not only survived the show, but they have since tied the knot.Before dating Bishop, Berner had an on-off relationship with Luke Gulbranson, whom she met during season 4 of the Bravo series. After hooking up during the 2019 season, Berner and Gulbranson butted heads over their status.“I think there’s a difference between chemistry and compatibility,” Berner said during the season 4 reunion, which aired in May 2020. “I think he’s a great person, but I don’t know if I could trust him as boyfriend material.”Despite her past with Gulbranson, Berner decided to invite Bishop to the Hamptons while filming season 5 in summer 2020. The cast was initially taken aback by their 15-year age difference, but Berner and Bishop’s bond only grew. “We clicked immediately. It has been quite an intense falling in love experience,” he gushed during an interview with RTE Radio 1 in September 2020. “It’s been a more powerful sort of falling for somebody than I have ever experienced in my life so I would be confident in saying I will certainly make an effort that it is it because it feels like it is The One.”

Bishop spent Christmas with Berner’s family in December 2020.

He popped the question on Valentine’s Day in 2021.

The pair announced their engagement in March 2021.

The twosome fostered several canines amid the COVID-19 pandemic before officially adopting senior dog Romeo.

“We both shaved for Puerto Rico,” Bishop jokingly wrote via Instagram during a romantic getaway with his partner.

They tied the knot on a beach in the Hamptons surrounded by their loved ones and several of her fellow Bravo stars, including Paige DeSorbo, Ciara Miller, Craig Conover, Scheana Shay, Brock Davies and Raquel Leviss.

“I feel like since getting married there's been a weird calmness because life was crazy. And then we got married and we've been really working a lot,” Berner exclusively told Us. “I'm very grateful that I have someone who also knows a lot about the comedy space as a comedian.”

Berner gushed about her husband, calling him “really supportive” of her career and life on the road as a stand-up comedian. “Overall, I think what makes our relationship fun is the laughter. And we're always trying to find, [like], ‘Where's the joke? How can we take life a little less seriously?’” she added. “And as long as we're laughing, we're happy. So that's my biggest advice definitely for marriage: ‘Don't take it too seriously.’”
