How to Enter 'Unstable Rifts' in MW3 Zombies Season 4 Reloaded|All Rewards & Secrets - Detonated (2024)

MW3 Zombies Season 4 Reloaded has added Unstable Rifts. In addition to many other secrets this Season, the new Dark Aether Rift allows players to take grind difficult waves of the undead in MWIII Zombies Season 4 Reloaded! Players can earn an instant cooldown on all of their schematics and a FREE animated Camo. Here’s everything you need to know about the unstable rifts unlock for Modern Warfare 3 Zombies Season 4 Reloaded:

FINDING THE OBELISKS

Around the map are three obelisks that will be marked by a specific Ammo Type. You will need to activate them and get a kills with that Ammo Type to destroy the obelisk. You have to do this at all three obelisks

As of now, over 20 different spawns have been found for the obelisk pillars. Stay tuned for further tac map updates we we learn more!

INFIL WITH EVERY AAT

If a player is on solo, then they should spawn in with every AAT if they have an Acquisition or Schematic for them. Players can also find these ammo mods in various loot chests around Urzikstan.

Co Op players can just have each player spawn in with one or two ammo mods each.

DESTROYING THE OBELISKS

This part can be a bit tricky especially depending on how many players are nearby. Preferably, have one or two players max with the correct AAT stand in the circle after activating the obelisk pillar.

The more players standing in the circle seems to dictate how many more souls you need, which may result in a fail if zombies aren’t killed fast enough. Players can reactivate the pillar to try again if needed.

UNSTABLE RIFT UNLOCKED

After destroying a total of three obelisks, the Unstable Rift will be marked on your map for everyone. You must quickly race to the rift before another squad. If you get beaten to the rift, you will be locked out of doing the rift for the entire match, and will have to redo this process next match.

Keep in mind, any squad can destroy the three obelisks that spawn. This means players can (but shouldn’t) camp out until an unstable rift just opens up in a game.

HOW TO COMPLETE UNSTABLE RIFTS

Players won’t need to prepare TOO much when entering the new rift as you’re automatically given max pack a punch and weapon rarity, a full perkaholic, self revive and mags of holding.

At the end of each phase, a bounty will be marked which players need to defeat. The final phase will have a special bounty with two minions that also need to be defeated before the main boss can be destroyed.

Unstable rifts don’t require players to even kill zombies (although you’ll want to) as the five phases appear to be time gated to about five minutes per round. Beating the unstable rifts can be done fairly easy if you follow these tips:

LOADOUT

• RGL with the new JAK Thumper aftermarket part and slug rounds
• Scorcher for Urzikstan traveling (on solo or if teammates don’t have one
• Optional secondary for killing heavy bosses (Meta build for FJX Horus, Crossbow, etc)

ASSIMILATE

The more players, the better. There doesn’t appear to be any scaling of Zombie spawns or enemy health when there’s more players on a squad.

Instead of stealing someone else’s unstable rift. Try to assimilate and get a max squad size of six to easily complete the rift!

REWARDS

With the completion of all 5 waves in the New & Brutal Unstable Rifts of MWZ, you’ll be rewarded with the “Mark of the Survivor” Animated Camo. It’s a universal camo that can be equipped to all weapons.

Players will also notice all of their schematic cooldowns are COMPLETELY refreshed upon a successful exfil.

Even after unlocking the camo, players can replay these unstable rifts if they want instant access to schematics they’d otherwise have to wait several days again to use.
